After your Class 10 result is declared, boards make a provisional marksheet available for download on their official website. This page explains how to download it, and what to do to get your original marksheet later.
The marksheet you download online immediately after the result is a provisional copy — valid for most immediate purposes like checking your score, but the original marksheet (physical, board-issued and often with additional security markings) is usually collected from your school a few weeks after the result, once the board dispatches printed copies.
| Board | Marksheet Status |

The provisional marksheet is generally accepted for immediate admission purposes, but institutions may later ask for the original board-issued marksheet.
Contact your school — they receive official copies directly from the board and can help you access or verify your result.
Several boards (including CBSE) support DigiLocker for digital marksheet access — check your specific board's official notice for availability.
